Nordictrack 1750 Treadmil Review - What's New for 2014?

The Nordic track 1750 treadmill has been one of the most popular treadmills with both runners and walkers for several years now. It consistently pulls in "Best Buy" ratings and is one of Nordictrack's best sellers (hence why they keep it around year after year).
Nordictrack also updates the treadmill every year to keep it current with the latest fitness trends and buyer wants. So how does the 2014 version differ from the older models?
Here's a list of what you get - and how the new version differs from older models:
#1 Full Color Web Browser
Surf the net, read your emails or watch YouTube videos from your console with the full-color, touch screen Android web browser.
This alone sets the 1750 apart from a lot of other treadmills at this price point. If you're like me and get bored easily while working out - this can make your workouts a lot more interesting (and longer!)
#2 Wider Deck for More Room To Move
The new 2014 model has a wider 22 inch belt than the 2013 model - giving you the luxury of more room to spread out. The belt is also a generous length at around 60 inches - making it a great choice for runners or taller users.
#3 Adjustable Cushioning
Want a softer, more forgiving feel with less impact on your joints? Just turn the cushioning system on.
Want a more road-like feel? Simple - you just turn the cushioning off at the base of the deck.
This is another feature that helps you customize your workout and sets the 1750 apart from other treadmills in the same price class.
#4 Stronger 3.8 HP Motor
The 2014 model has upgraded to a stronger 3.8 HP motor power over past models - which should help prolong the life of your treadmill (you also get a lifetime motor warranty as well.)
#5 iFit LIVE
This is something that Nordictrack has been putting on their machines for a few years now - and it just keeps getting better and better.
iFit connects your treadmill the internet. From there you can download unlimited new workouts or even track your workout stats over time.
You can also choose to run a series of famous world trails and watch as the landmarks pass you by in the console window. Very cool.
#6 Decline
Ramp up your crosstraining with 15% incline and a 3% decline option. This actually works with iFit (and Googlemaps) to match the terrain of whatever world trail you are running to give a more "virtual reality" effect.
#7 Added Fan and Storage Compartment
The 2014 model adds an extra stability bar across the bottom of the treadmill with a second fan to keep you cool (the first fan is in the console). The stability bar also has more compartments to store your keys, wallet, tv remote, etc.
While this isn't a huge deal - a lot of people find it extremely handy.
So those are some of the main things that set the 2014 Nordictrack Commercial 1750 apart from the competition (and past models).
It gives a nice blend of entertainment and strong construction - for a very reasonable price. Overall it's not really hard to see why it's consistently one of Nordictrack's best sellers - and will probably remain so for 2014!
