The Ultimate Guide to Surviving a Bad Hair Day

No matter who you are or what you do, having a bad hair day is a universal issue. While many of us would love to give our hair the time and care that it deserves, the fact of the matter is that we can often neglect our hair - to our peril. Many things cause a bad hair day, such as over styling, sleeping in, putting too much or too little product in our hair, and even not washing it can make your hair look very bad indeed. But how do you avoid and survive a bad hair day? Here are a few tips.
Care For Your Hair
It goes without saying that a lot of hair problems such as frizz and knots come from outside elements, such as cold and wet weather, and hair rubbing on clothing. If you have naturally curly hair, then frizz and out-of-control curls will be something that you want to avoid. And so, using the right products for your hair will help stop this from happening. Styling products, such as leave in conditioner will also help your hair keep calm in poor weather, so that you can carry on.
If you have very long hair, then you know that unless you put it up it will get knotted and tangled as it moves around and rubs against your clothing. If you are good with your it, then you will be able to put it in a pun, a high ponytail or a plait to stop this from happening. Other options involve using clips or curby grips to pin your hair up so it's protected from outside influences.
Style Your Hair
While everyone's hair is different, if you have long, fine, unruly or curly hair, it can be extremely difficult to style and control, especially if you don't have much experience doing so. However, help is at hand, and there are a number of accessories that can help you, such as the previously mentioned curby grips, plus bobbles, clips and a good dose of hairspray. There are some styles, though, that often need a bit more time, effort and accessories from you, such as French pleats and fishtail braids. However, styling your hair doesn't have to be difficult, and it doesn't have to take long, all it needs is a bit of innovation. To stop yourself having one of those dreaded bad hair days, and to make your styled hair look good, you can even ad hair extensions to your hair, such as American Pride Hair extensions, to hide any greasy bits, unruly locks or greying patches.
Know Your Hair
This may sound like an odd thing to say, but knowing your hair and how it will behave in certain circumstances is half the battle. For example if it is slightly greasy in the morning, it will be more greasy later in the day, and if certain weather conditions affect your hair, then know what to take with you if you're leaving the house.
A little knowledge goes a long way when it comes to your hair, so why not take note of what it does and why - does it get overly dry when you wash it with a certain product - could it do with a few American Pride hair extensions to give it some body or length? Once you know how your hair works, the less likely you will be to have a bad hair day.
